I don't understand this need for people to be picked because of their sexuality. One year we had people up in arms as there were like 7/8 gay contestants which was not 'representative' too. I actually find it really annoying how some seem to think the housemates should be picked to a quota...3 gay ones, 2 black ones, 1 asian, 1 with a disability. And so on. Its so patronizing :/

I don't get why you're so pressed about the amount of LGBT people there are in the house?? Like when has a cast ever been "filled" with gays? You referred to last year having a lot. We had what, Ryan, Hughie, Andy, and Sam? That's four people out of eighteen... that's not even a quarter of the housemates being gay... it was hardly filled
Hun idk if you're scared that the hets are gonna get decimated, but the straights always outnumbers the gays in not only Big Brother, but literally every other form of media (not counting LGBT+ focused media). I'm fine with Raph being the only LGBT+ housemate (he's got other qualities too, us gays are diverse like that) and quite a lot of other people are, you're the only one bothered. You got something to tell us Adam?

"people should be judged on their qualities" I don't see many people loving any housemates because they're gay. Also when you're only referring to gay people in terms of how many are in the house you're not really judging them by their qualities.

One of my friends is legitimately like this. Its a running joke between us all. But he is deadly serious. He refuses to support anyone, on any show who is not either gay...or a goodlooking dude. Preferably both...and gay takes priority over goodlooking straight/bi guy. Often, if no gay contestant is available and a goodlooking guy has to be chosen, he will spend weeks and week trying to convince everyone else that this goodlooking guy is actually a closetted gay guy. It really is bizzare

Wikipedia reports that less than 2% of the male populus are gay so it proves that gays on this programme are overbearingly disproportionate to the broad cross section of the populous. One gay in less than 50 contestants is the norm so why the outrage about only one gay in the ensembled contestants. The editors are probably sick of the homophobic issues that follow nearly every gay contestant and want to reevaluate their involvement.
