Yeah but he would need almost all of them and independents as well I think. We need the final count though to work it out properly. They will need 81 seats

![]() Interestingly though, even though it's a "shock" result which seems to be following suit of other western countries, rather than going more right we're going more left

There are no right wing parties in Ireland are there, both FF and FG are pretty much the same, both Centre, Labour I guess would be left, not sure about the smaller parties?

Yep, Mary Lou topped hers though
![]() Not really, FF & FG are pretty centre(although a little right leaning), I'd say most of the smaller parties are more left wing so ideally it would be Sinn Fein with some of them but they won't have enough numbers I'd say

Looking at the parties it would be very messy, they will probably go with FF or FG, interesting times!

Well Leo has said he won't go with Sinn Fein so I think the only realistic option would be either FF & SF or FF & FG

With Labour and the Conservatives running the country you mean? You've still not had a third party come through and really upset that status quo though, have you?

self-oscillating
|
people blame first past the post, but it provides a working government without coalition. Coalitions are very ineffective forms of government, always have been. If a candidate gets enough votes, they get a seat, it's not an unfair system, it's just portrayed as unfair by those that lose
