I just mean, why now? It’s completely random...the show is what, 15 years old? Why is it only seen as unnecessarily offensive now?

I'm not against this move or anything but I don't think anybody actually asked for this?

I found some parts of the show funny when I was a child but even then I found the blackface distasteful. I don't see a problem with them not streaming it, people can buy it if they want to watch it.

Fair play then, it's really odd I would laugh at little britain but Bo selecta I hated...couldn't watch it. It ruined Craig Davids career too for a long time didn't it?

Yeah it basically destroyed his ability to be taken seriously. Even at his angriest I don't think CD thought it was racist, but one might say it's a cruel "impression"

funny

Eddie Murphy whited up to play a large-nosed Jew with a Yiddish accent.

I thought it was funny. He's an comedy actor.

Little Britain and Catherine Tate were **** shows. All they were were one catch phrases repeated ten billion times. Ricky Gervais created an entire show about it Extras which highlighted how these two shows dumbed down British comedy. We were then left with Miranda and Mrs Brown’s Boys, the very worst of British television.

Well I don't think this is entirely true. Sketch shows were around long before LB.

British comedy is only seen in the state you claim it is if your view of it is through the traditional (and now very dated) studio sitcom. That's not where you're going to find the quality. That's where you'll find traditional and safe/nostalgic comedy.

It's like complaining music is dead because you don't like the top 40. Broaden your horizons.

Not Going Out is pretty good, if a bit middling. What else is there? I can't think of any other current BBC comedies

Ohhhh yeah! It'd be cool if a Christmas special for G+S could be a regular thing, I've often thought they should do that with My Family.

Fake news.

They've been taken down from streaming services for the time being whilst the world is going through what it is and will be put back up in the future and take their places within their own historical context. You want to watch or read either? YOU CAN.

Nothing to do with heaps of metal that serve no purpose other than to idolise people who should not be idolised.

To be fair I don’t care for statues anyways.

I think it’s setting a bad example to our youth showing that they can just go and basically destroy anything and get away Scott Free
