Little Britain and Catherine Tate were **** shows. All they were were one catch phrases repeated ten billion times. Ricky Gervais created an entire show about it Extras which highlighted how these two shows dumbed down British comedy. We were then left with Miranda and Mrs Brown’s Boys, the very worst of British television.

British comedy is only seen in the state you claim it is if your view of it is through the traditional (and now very dated) studio sitcom. That's not where you're going to find the quality. That's where you'll find traditional and safe/nostalgic comedy. It's like complaining music is dead because you don't like the top 40. Broaden your horizons.
