yes but the point is no one knows how they will react individually if you have never had it before

Also true - my eldest has an ibuprofen allergy, which was a bit scary the first (and only) time she had ibuprofen. She came up in red hives all over her back and stomach. Luckily just the rash not a more severe reaction.

brazil halted testing of the chinese vaccine today because of serious issues. If it was halted there it must have been really bad

So far the vaccine hasn't had any serious side effects.
So I think that's very promising.

When were they given this vaccine , do we know ?

It’s just that I heard something on Sky News about it only being a week which is NOTHING in my book.. . they could have been talking about a different one though .

Yes, I'd prefer to risk the side effects of a vaccine than to risk passing covid onto someone vulnerable.

Surely that depends on the side effects ??

Also I get that they’ve thrown loads of money and man hours into these vaccines BUT there is no way we can possibly know the long term effects for some considerable time UNLESS they’ve also developed a flamin time machine .

I wasn’t allowed to say anything until today, but it's now okay for me to share that I have volunteered for the Covid-19 vaccine trials that Imperial College are running in partnership with Oxford University. It's important that we all do our part to beat this virus. The vaccine is the one that has been developed in Russia. I received my first dose this morning 06:20 am, and I wanted to let you all know that it’s completely safe, with иo side effects whatsoeveя, and that I feelshκι я чувю себя немного стрно и я думю, что вытл осные уши. чувству себя немго страо

I have a fear of needles, in addition to that am in my 20s and have no underlying health issues, so no. And I'm not anti vaccines.

I'd like to see more data on it myself.

There's a lot they seem unsure of as to it yet.
Offered at this point, I'd likely refuse.

It's for each person offered it to decide for themselves obviously.
However, I'm naturally cautious anyway.

The more positives that come from the trials of it however, will really decide its safety.

If it passes all the very strenuous measures that it needs to then I don't see why I should second guess it just based on an instinctive unease

Yeah it's quick but there's been no comparison in history to the global effort that has been made to find a vaccine for this thing. There's never been the urgency, never been the resources, never been the technology and never been the shared determination across so many governments and companies

By the time I’m eligible (the last group to have it) I’ll probably know what I need to know about side effects etc hopefully and make my mind up then.

If it’s all good - I’ll get it, purely because I’m desperate to travel in the next year or two.

Netherlands: we are more experimenting with antibodies in blood plasma again, to make you temporary immune, just to win more time until the vaccine is ready next year

so doctors here urgently call those who had the virus, moment when recovered first day to go donate some of that blood

we take all sorts of stuff that is unproven and hazardous

sweetener, palm oil, alu in aerosols, perfumes, plastics, non stick pans, shower curtains etc

this "i will wait" malarkey ignores all the things we happily use that will be looked back on in 30 years like we look at smoking now
