Is Madonna original then because i'm sure she would have been influenced by someone famous around at the time before she becomes famous.. most singers have had someone who they look up to at some point.

Yes sure Madonna was influenced by the like of Marylin and other 60's stars but she NEVER explicitly copied them as much as Lady Gaga does. Lady Gaga mkes it so obvious that it is hard to take her seriously and because of that is a product. Madonna has style with substance and thought, Lady Gaga however doesn't.
