I'm Irish and I don't know the English anthem - do you know ours?
Anyways, JJ was given an Oz uniform and requested an English one, prob trying to look like David Beckham. He knew the words cos he's basically British!

It's the British BB. Even if it was the English BB people who are not from England have the right not to put on the shirt.

Ireland isn't part of the UK. UK Big Brother has Irish people in it because they hold auditions in Dublin. Simple as.

Anyway this thread is ridiculous, I wouldn't have sang the English National Anthem if I was in the house.

Because:

1. I don't know the words
2. I'm not English

Just like I wouldn't expect an English person to know/sing the Irish National Anthem if they were on an Irish TV Show.

I think this is fair, i wouldn't sing it and i am english because i don't agree with the words as relevant to england anymore.

BUT it is BB lol we won't solve political issues here as some other people are bringing into this thread. Trust the irish and their stupid conflict/war to bring the mood down lol.

Yeah. The English contestants all had English shirts on, David had a Welsh shirt, JJ apparently had an Aussie shirt and requested and England one for whatever reason and Caoimhe had an Irish one.. Fair enough I reckon?
And as for her singing the English anthem? Why would she know it/want to sing it? I certainly wouldn't stand with my hand on my heart and sing another country's anthem! She did right just to stay quiet!

Keeva is proud Irish woman. She shouldn't be wearing England's shirt and good on her to refuse it.

JJ is a dual Aussie/Brit and his parents are English so he probably supports England.

You sneaked out of the group Pres - you were correct. Lucky the Germans took pity on you @ 4 and decided to stop.

Very correct pres - in fact it should have been 7 against Slovenia - just as Germany should have been 9 if they'd bothered to try instead of playing their 3 simultaneous subs for a laugh

Who said she refused to wear it though, maybe they just gave her that one?

Why should she wear an England shirt, she's not English?

And as for singing the national anthem the same reason applies, and tbf even Rooney and Milner didn't sing it yesterday and they were playing for their national side ffs.
