I still can't grasp why they don't move somewhere 'out of the way' i mean it's not like they can't go and live anywhere in the world. Celebs who truly want the 'quiet life' can have it if they try hard enough.

I have said before that I think moving to LA to get away from the media is an odd choice, but it doesn't really justify the behavior itself. They tried out the world he knew and it didn't work for them, it makes some sort of sense - at least - that they'd try out HER world next rather than going in a completely new direction. They may well discover that this doesn't work either and do just that. The point really though is that while taking a "gossipy interest" is one thing... getting angry about it and actively disliking a celebrity who hasn't actually done ANYTHING worthy if such criticism is just childish and weird. Even if they are attention seekers... so what? Is it inherently immoral? Why do people care so much?

...I don’t think that it was stepping back from the limelight as such that moulded their decision to step back from royal duties...I think there were many other aspects to it all and a very hard decision to make by everything that Harry has said...and that would be too simplistic...and other than the invasion of privacy with the drone, they seem fine being photographed etc ...

He admitted to working with the media to reveal details about the wedding, he stages pap shots of him shopping for the wedding, he’s admitted to it, so I’m judging him on those actions, he’s constantly in the press slagging his daughter off, I think he’s a disgrace to be doing that, he’s cashing in on his daughters abuse by the very people he’s getting paid by for the ‘scoops’, she has every right to be mad at him

The book says she believes her father has been corrupted by the press..surely the way forward should have been a comforting shoulder and not the disowning of him that they both did.

There's a difference between having an interest in a celebrity and believing everything you read and believing you know them and what they're about when you don't.

I'd compare it to the BB debates. It's fine discussing housemates and what they do on the show as we watch their actions within the walls of that house. But when all the judging them on how they are with their kids and everything came into it, that is different as we don't know them as people within the real world outside of what the press portrays.
