Can anybody tell me did electricity prices ever fall after they put up all those wind turbines in various locations?

I don't think that was the intention, they are just an alternative to coal and nuclear as a means of generating electricity as far as I know as they are cleaner and greener.

Best to educate yourself on things before you decide to champion them.
It's not just environmentalists that oppose it but geologists too.
No need to be patronising, we can't all be as all round enlightened as you

I mean I don't know the specifics of the actual method, I do know that it has been very successful in the US, that it would make energy bills cheaper, and that if done properly it doesn't necessarily cause massive harm to the environment. Plus environmentalists invariably exaggerate the dangers of things like this

Ok sorry, it is daft to say you want something and not know what it is or the implications.
We are around 850 miles from one end to the other, the proposed places for testing is Leeds... forgive me for not sharing your enthusiasm.

Why has this gone completely off topic? The topics about snow not fuel prices and fracking

I hate people that complain about snow, i would give anything to have snow here in California.

When i have fond memories of my childhood, almost all of them involve snow.

My thinking is if you want to talk about fuel prices and fracking, make a thread and you can go to town on the subject.

Meh I'd say that energy prices are pretty relevant to a thread about us apparently having the "worst winter ever"

Meanwhile, the government find 900m from nowhere (remember, we are apparently skint)..to NOT pay volunteers to talk to the vulnerable about how to change suppliers

Absolutely crazy.
