I don't really judge songs on being of a "good musical taste" - it's something I hate. If you like a song you should be able to enjoy it, regardless of who sings it.

There are some songs I like by artists I hate - if I like it I will listen to it. It annoys me when people refuse to listen to something because it's a certain genre or by a certain artist.

If I don't like an artist as a person I won't listen to their music(Robbie,GaGa etc) but otherwise I'm up for listening to anything.

Nope. I can't seperate how I feel about people and their music,don't like one,won't listen to the other. Petty I know but there's only a few people.

So if there was a huge tabloid revalation that TT were wife beaters, (ik its a stupid example but w/e) would you still listen to them because you enjoyed their music or would you stop because of their personal lives.

That is just down to opinion. I don't think her music is good (although I do like one or two songs), and therefore I don't listen to her. I still have a fantastic taste in music.

I wasnt meaning just gaga, i was just using it as an example, i just think its a bit silly not listening to good music because you dont like the artist as a person.

Personally I only listen to chart stuff but thats mainly due to convenience. Its nothing to do with living a sheltered life.

There are a lot of great bands that deserve recognition but aren't getting it, because it's "inconvenient".

I don't have time to trawl around the internet looking for good music when I know what I'm getting when I download stuff I've seen on the music channel or heard it on the radio.

If it sounds good or not. If trashy, autotuned, manufactured pop sounds better than a song with emotion and written by the artist then I'd go for the first song every time.

Actually, refusing to listen to anything other than what's cool this week, because according to them everything else is sh!t, says a lot about a person.

Then again, some of us are just more passionate about music than others.

There's nothing wrong with listening to what's popular,it's listening to just what's popular. Because there is some amazing music out there that isn't in the charts.
