Isn't moderating on tibb an unpaid job? Tbh I think we should be grateful we have anyone moderating at all, the place would be an absolute mess without it and there'd be plenty to complain about then.

do the job fairly and well which 95% of the mods do, and there really would be no cause for complaint, I only complain about one.

Yes but the complaints about Dezzy are always to do with his posts as a member, not him as a mod, so I don't understand the complaints, you don't know that he isn't doing the job fairly? Only the other mods see what he does in that role.

I doubt that. Besides you really can't separate member from mod. In whatever role there is an expectation of setting the right example not the complete opposite.

Doubt what though? It's true that we don't see what the mods do... only they see it. And member/mod status is separated, by very definition, when they're posting in threads they are doing so as a member, and if they make posts that people think are breaking the rules they can be reported and those reports are seen by the other mods, and when they give out infractions etc they're doing so as a mod and can be monitored and made accountable by other mods. Like I said before it's an unpaid job so I think it's unfair to have any expectations of them beyond that or to expect that someone who gains mod status should no longer feel like they can't post as they normally would as a member.

But even so, that doesn't mean that that person isn't doing a good job as a mod which is the accusation that's being made, it just means that they don't like that person or the way they speak to them, that has no bearing on their capabilities as a mod. And if someone feels they've broken rules because of how they've spoken to them then they can be reported to the other mods.

Jamie ,the complaints are about how people are treated by certain people,and the way they are spoken to,it costs nothing to be amicable and polite,failing that,just pass someones post by.

If he is posting as a member he should be infracted as a member, I don't know any member that has the ability to delete posts if they don't agree with them

Yes but if he makes posts that are infraction worthy then you don't know that he isn't being infracted as a member, and if he isn't it's possibly because the other mods don't consider them to be infraction worthy. Personally I've seen a lot of posts of his that people have taken issue with that I haven't felt have broken rules, it's just been a case that people haven't liked his tone or the way he's spoken, but that isn't something that warrants an infraction, it's like I said in my other post, just a difference in personality. And when he deletes posts he's doing so as a mod, and he's accountable by the other mods for things like that, if he was deleting posts just because he didn't agree with them then the other mods would be aware of that (not to mention that there are a lot of posts he disagrees with and they don't get deleted, so that suggests that it isn't really true that he deletes posts that he disagrees with anyway).
