I'm beginning to wonder whether they're actually going to be able to get some of the 'legends' though, and that we might end up with people like:

BB7 - Richard/Lea
BB9 - Dale

...if you get what I mean? Like the smaller housemates that no one really remembers.

However I wouldn't be surprised if we didn't get anyone from BB9 or if they didn't even bother putting more than 1 BB9 star in seeing as they don't even mention that series and BB8 gets more attention from the producers than Big Brother 9.

The thing is, I wonder how much people would actually turn up and be interested in the BB All Stars launch of Smithy's awesome idea?

Look at the smug bastards from the earlier seasons BB1-4 who think they are too good for the show now and don't want to be seen with it.

Even Craig was on Loose Women the other day and just got so awkward when they were talking about BB and moved onto the other subject but when asked about going back in he basically made it obvious that he was.

But yeah I think the people you listed there:

Maxwell, Lea, Richard and Dale were brilliant housemates.

Richard was hilarious.
Dale was epic on Live Feed.
Maxwell was a great housemate.

Like you said they are forgotten but I think thats because they aren't shoved down our throats like Brian Belo.
