Default Cheryl tops singles and now albums chart!
Midweek sales show Cheryl is set to beat Rihanna to the number one spot on Sunday. She is also on course for one of the biggest first week sales of the year.

Elsewhere, Joe is set to be beat to the top spot of the album charts by Kings of Leon. But No2 wouldnt be too bad considering the single didn't do great.

Yuk! - Peter Andre may scrape a top20 hit after a SCD appearance.

But congrats to Queen Cheryl!

I think the x effect is overrated. Cheryl will be the first of 6 performers to get the #1. If the hit rate is only 1 every 3 weeks then that will only be 3 number ones through the whole show.

Rihanna could score a #1 without X Factor (she does it time and time again) and if Nicole hadn't been on the earlier rounds and taken to so well she probably wouldn't get a #1, but her performing is just like Cheryl performing imo
