Quand il pleut, il pleut

..Will Ferrell, out of that list but I like Paul Rudd and Owen Wilson as well...I think I prefer Jim Carrey in serious parts more...

I noticed that all of Owen Wilson's upcoming roles are in more serious films, I guess the success of Midnight in Paris has got him going down that route and away from comedy now.

Quand il pleut, il pleut
|
..there are quite a few actors who have made that transition really successfully, just thinking of an obvious two would be Tom Hanks and Matthew McConaughey...

Steve Carell over all of those. Will Ferrell comes close though.

Mr Rocket League

Purely subjective for me but Jim Carrey killed me in both Ace Ventura films. The rest are funny and all that but I never got the same vibe as I did in those.

Ferrel has the biggest range of downright weird and surreal characters. He is excellent. I love Carey too but a lot of that love involves his sycophantically emotional side on offer in films like Eternal Sunshine and The Truman Show.
Sandler is cancerous. The rest are all fine. |

Jim Carrey is by far the best comic actor of his generation and one of the all time greats.
