I just don't have a phone, that way nobody bothers me ever, or if they do, they have to get off their arses and knock at my door.

I live in a dip and don't get a mobile signal where I live. So I leave it switched off in my bag mostly, unless I'm working.

My latest mobile phone is still lurking in the back of a drawer.
I have a cordless landline phone on the bedside cabinet on t'other side of bed for emergencies. |

Thing is, I don't really like chatting on the phone so it's never been an issue, really. I'm just not one of those people who lives with their phone in their hand the majority of the time. I use it for work and that's pretty much it.

It's charging on the desk at the opposite side of the room with my alarm on it.

I leave it switched on next to my bed because it doubles as my alarm (and I'm also a doctor/fireman/surgeon/PM)

Mines plugged into my charger all night beside my bed. I know thats dangerous but its a habit I cannot break
![]() I leave the sound on too just incase as people who have my number (not many) would only ring in an absolute emergency. |

We have a docker on the bedside table and it goes on there with the ipad overnight, so it doesn't run out in the daytime.
