People always say 'it's just a bit of fun' etc but then every time it led to so many arguments and insults and left a lot of bad feeling on the forum for ages

Could that not easily be soothed by adding an opt out list?

I wasn't around for one but if it's been years it could maybe be given one last chance?

Opt out doesn't really work because a lot of people might not be online to see it's going on or don't notice it but still are then subjected to abuse without their consent because they didn't officially opt out

There's a better case for opt in but then really you'd just be left with twenty or so members and it almost defeats the point. If people are so keen to have an awards like that then they can try take it off site but I think last time that proved too much hassle that they didn't bother. Think it's pretty safe to say it would not be allowed here though

Do people watch BB to see people getting along or do they watch it for the drama?
