That's actually not true, police officers should and do log ell evidence and statements and do so without judgement. They have no bearing on how the trial goes down beyond their investigations and the evidence they unearth but as seen in a lot of rape trials, slutshaming and discrediting the victim is more important than determining whether consent was given or not.

Over 100 cases have had to be dropped because not all evidence had been sent to the courts which led to alot of people going to prison some that wasnt guilty to start with
