I'd defend his right to make the joke but I'd also question Arianna Grande's sincerity over her past reaction to what happened, if she didn't find this "joke" to be too much.

I mean, me and my wife joke about all sorts. Unsavoury aspects of our childhoods, horrible past arguments, even family deaths... BUT if one of us hosted an event where a load of children were injured and killed, I think that would probably be off limits for giggles .

[edit to add] I'm not saying she should leave him over it but I'd be surprised if she comes out in support of it.
