It's ashame the England flag has had stereotypes and has been polluted , as now people think of chavs and EDL members .

But an England flag ISN'T offensive ,it use to be patriotic and people could just be England supporters . But the Great Britain flag is very patriotic and I prefer that to the England flag if I'm honest .

I know it's not the same but the Confederate flag in America offends alot of people as historically it brought so much pain and has bad connotations attached to it ,but does that mean every American that has one is racist ?! . The American flag is more friendly and patriotic of course though.

When I lived in New York there were flags on most of the houses or in the gardens, there was no special days for it,they are just proud very proud as we should be.

that's not pride, that's American exceptionalism

don't mind a flag, but on special occasions only, to make them, erm, special
