He just had a moment for all the things that people have mentioned above, including me...call it what you like..a tantrum..throwing his toys out the pram..it was a moment of frustration and it wasn't ALL about the seat..people need to look at the bigger picture.

Yes, I get anxiety attacks at the doctors (white coat syndrome) and really had a bad one during an MRI and couldn't get away quick enough.
Yet, when I walk into the place, I am totally normal. It happens to me, not that I do anything to make it happen.
I also get it in airports but surprisingly, not during the flight.
My point is that there is nothing I can do at the time to avoid it, my head tells me there is nothing to worry about but my body doesn't listen.
So that is why I can give Lewis the benefit of the doubt, I noticed a look of panic when he first said he couldn't do the 7 hours. Yes, he did throw his toys out of the pram and having the seat next to Cameron would have been helpful but he was in a state of anxiety and surely this added up to why he behaved how he did.
