Well he was clearly anxious...more people on here have called him out on 'pretending' to have a Panic attack/anxiety breakdown..but he didn't have one..and never claimed to have one.
He just had a moment for all the things that people have mentioned above, including me...call it what you like..a tantrum..throwing his toys out the pram..it was a moment of frustration and it wasn't ALL about the seat..people need to look at the bigger picture.

Quite. Defending them is one thing, but defending every single little thing they do and never ever acknowledging any faults, meanwhile deciding that whenever another housemate says anything even slightly negative to the object of their affection that they are awful awful people, based on one little thing. Only ever liking housemates that get on with the one they like, but the again the second a negative thing is said turning on them.. Its just..weird

Also anyone who has ever experienced that sort of generalised anxiety will know that the prospect of sitting for 5+ hours with nothing to do for distraction can be outright torture. I fully understand why he was saying "I can't do this". It's also why he said he would have been fine sat with Cameron, as being sat with a friend and able to have a laugh and a chat helps massively with anxiety.

Very little empathy from Sian, but not surprising as tbqfh I don't think she has the mental processing power required to feel anxious about anything.

Not much empathy on here either, which is a shame.
Well said. Excellent post.

But people aren't looking at the other bigger picture ! . He told Kenaley to stop moaning about the food as it may affect the outcome of the task. Yet he caused a fail by having his tantrum .

So whats the bigger picture here then? You are saying it wasn't just a tantrum over first class. So what else was it? Yes he may have preferred to sit with Cameron, but again thats tantruming over the first class seat! Cameron could also have said he didn't want first class, if he knew Lewis was going to be upset about it. Akeem absolutely should not have offered to give it up, and I am so glad he didn't. But yeah, it was just a strop over not being picked for a privilege, so I am interested in what the bigger picture apparently is really.

Yes, I get anxiety attacks at the doctors (white coat syndrome) and really had a bad one during an MRI and couldn't get away quick enough.

Yet, when I walk into the place, I am totally normal. It happens to me, not that I do anything to make it happen.

I also get it in airports but surprisingly, not during the flight.

My point is that there is nothing I can do at the time to avoid it, my head tells me there is nothing to worry about but my body doesn't listen.

So that is why I can give Lewis the benefit of the doubt, I noticed a look of panic when he first said he couldn't do the 7 hours. Yes, he did throw his toys out of the pram and having the seat next to Cameron would have been helpful but he was in a state of anxiety and surely this added up to why he behaved how he did.

He was stropping over Akeem's seat, correct and winding himself up, you have seen him doing it many times before, then sit there over thinking before having his meltdown/attack. Then the thought of 7 hours sent him over the edge.

No one is saying it is positive, we are not bigging him up, he is his own worst enemy at times but I am saying, we don't know for certain and it has been just another stick for his detractors to beat him with.
A really balanced post, poppsywoppsy.

I agree there is a chance he calmed down between ranting and the diary room. But as I said, we can only go on what we see. If we were to comment on what may have happened on bits not shown, then we could really come up with anything. Like I could say Sian randomly shat on Tomasz bed, but we weren't shown it. Etc.

The problem being, the selected bits we see, do not tell the whole story and this leads to all the conjecture both for and against Lewis.

Well of course, this has been a bloody huge issue every since LF was cut. Mind even with LF we had cloud shots and birdsong half the time rather than actually being able to see what was going on

I hated all the bird noises and other sounds. plus they always had a random ad break when you were trying to listen to a conversation .

She is such a bore. had a bit of a story when Isaac was in following around and draping herself next to him in the smoking area but has zero going for her now and she is going to be totally jealous of Isabella

It's a far cry from BB5 when they live streamed the entire fight night complete with sound, right up until the point where security burst in. It was spectacular

I would love to know this also, what was the bigger picture since people seem convinced there is one?

You are mixing up a real life situation with sitting in a chair in a room though he was not in confined space either as they could get up and walk around, in fact it was no different to when they do nominations and they all have to stay in the room for hours on end

I can’t what the bigger picture was either other than he was irked not to be chosen to sit in front

Exactly ,the Nominations take ages and they're all locked in the living room .

And as I've already said , Lewis wasn't on his own and he had plenty of space ,and water and a toilet . Things were NOT THAT BAD !!! .

The bigger picture is that he has an anxiety disorder. They don't make sense, they don't follow any set rules, and it can catch you off guard at any time.

Frankly if you've never experienced it, you probably aren't going to understand, but again, that isn't a criticism. Be happy that you don't understand, and I sincerely hope that it stays that way.

Ah so basically anxiety is just going to be used to excuse all Lewis' strops. Got it

And I suffer panic attacks myself, as I said earlier in the thread, and have done for years now.
