Regardless of what people say, I can't believe that people would prefer brutal, hurtful honesty over a little bit of tact. You can say the same thing whilst maintaining someone's feelings and dignity without being mean just to come across as "real". If that is Lewis' reality I would prefer not to bother. How would he react if he experimented with something and then his closest friend called it an embarrassment on national TV.

...and completely agree...it doesn’t have to be one thing or another/black or white...either to be brutally and cruelly honest, regardless of whether it’s hurtful to someone you care about or to be ‘fake’...Lewis is right in that it’s probably not the best idea to have your hair restyled by people who aren’t trained stylists and that’s the black and white way that Lewis saw it...but Cameron isn’t Lewis and he had made the decision to ask them to do it ...Lewis persistently pointing out what a bad/uneven cut it was served no purpose other than to make Cameron feel fairly awful about it...
