Y'know maybe I've been guilty of this in the past but I've always tried to word it so that it comes off as my opinion, but do people realise people can like housemates for different reasons to them?
Like, people think Sian is good-hearted and has great one-liners. Is that not a valid reason to like her? Like none of her fans are saying she does a lot. I don't think any will argue against the fact she was barely shown for three weeks at the start. And you may not like her because you prefer housemates who have more screentime (Lewis F) but no one ever really says "I don't like Sian because what she does and says when she's on screen doesn't interest me", they just say "Sian does nothing she's wallpaper" which is.. ridiculous because she clearly does something and has been doing something, hence her increase in popularity lmao. She certainly does less and not liking her for not doing as much as others is certainly a valid reason but when people speak superlatively as if she's how she was in week 1 and doesn't come out with one-liners (and humour is subjective, but it's one of the reasons she's loved now) and contributes more to conversations is a tad... ridiculous? idk I just think the whole "haha how can anyone like Sian she DOES NOTHING" is just ridiculous because like. she does stuff. Not as much as Lewis F but she does stuff. And if your preference is the likes of Lewis F who is OTT and is on the telly more than Sian that's fine! But I've never seen anyone use that rationale for their dislike of Sian. They just rather say she does nothing and is 'wallpaper' like tl;dr people are allowed to prefer housemates that get less screentime and are nice and funny and bc Sian doesn't fit the ideal cookie cutter of some viewers DOESNT MEAN she aint a good housemate |
