Let's say it's at an all-time high in modern history.

No, I probably wouldn't take offence. But I would encourage a conversation and tell him why some people may find it offensive. I don't agree with people being punished and thrown out for stuff like this, better to get people talking so everyone can understand why it's an issue. And of course it depends on exactly what was said and the intention. Some of my friends on this forum have said the most outrageously anti-Semitic stuff to me that I've know was in jest, and I've laughed along because the intent was to make me laugh.

Aw well done, yes you have the right attitude if anyone "offends" point out why it is offensive. I seem to remember someone pointing out to another after he had used a word (cant remember which word) why it would offend. The person himself wasnt offended at that stage but he was genuine in his approach.

Life is difficult for all sorts tbh, I had a disabled daughter who I took for dancing classes once, on picking her up I was strongly told not to bring her back with legs like that. Not even willing to help her, she took a lot in life, sadly she passed along with my husband. It really takes all sorts but we all have to have a lot of understanding to understand the misunderstanding.

Take care now.
