What kind of information?

Some people are good at cold reading - an example on a tv show called The Hustle was that a man had a "tan line" on his ring finger, so they knew he was recently divorced, and he'd make an extra hole in his belt, meaning he was losing weight as his ex-wife was nicking his money.

I think most "psychic readings" are a variety of that.
