So I'm FINALLY caught up after falling behind on the entirety of last season I felt like the mid-season finale of season 8 onwards was a marked improvement over the first half and season 7 but season 9 so far has been such a step up. I'm actually fully back into the show again for the first time in about 2 years

Really loved Rick's send off. Obviously Carl and Lori were glaring omissions (I know Lori had a voice cameo but still) but you can't always get everyone you want back. I'm super intrigued by the movies too, and I'm glad Anne will be involved because I've loved her since all her people died.

Really looking forward to the new storyline too, although I've only read very early issues of the comics so far I'm well aware of what comes later and I've been anticipating this next arc for ages.

The Whisperers have potential to be terrifying villains if done well, and the heads on pikes could be a great way to end the season.
