(and most if not all of his fee is going to charity as you would expect from someone who has raised more than any other celeb in his lifetime)

At first I felt underwhelmed I was like why are we just seeing different versions of Elton John are they trying to promote the new Elton John film

Then the younger he got in the advert it started to make sense and when he was a kid at the talent show I was crying by that point and I was a mess by the time he came down the stairs. I don't know why that advert hit me emotionally it's strange how they do it but they tend to be able to pluck at my heart strings every time

I think this year's ad is really sweet, but a few people in my local town have taken issue with it on the Facebook group because Elton John never had a good relationship with his mum like the ad depicted. Bizarre, imo.

Its rubbish....didn't feel christmassy and basically is just promoting eltons tour and film next year. Poor show John Lewis

Agree, nothing about this makes me feel christmassy and of all the songs in the world they use Your Song for the second time in eight years.. very disappointing
