No. But since the union of the crown it works both ways. For example if there were 2 queen Charleys of Scotland in the past and 3 queen Charleys of England, the next queen Charley of the UK would be Charley VI.

So there was a James who was James II of England but James VII of Scotland so is the next James a James III or James VIII?

The QE2 is called the QE2 because it is the second ship called the Queen Elizabeth... not because it's named after Elizabeth the 2nd.

It wouldn't surprise me if he was titled James III? Bc James II was king of UK but actually the VII for Scotland? But idk maybe things have changed
