No, it’s a person who’s job is to take care of animals, killing animals outside of work.

How does that make her bad at her job as a vet? The poor dog is the one losing out here.

it calls into question how much she really values animal life is she is so happy to end it for sport
the dog is not the one losing, there's plenty of vets around
if anything it may be saving the dog from an unnecessary euthanasia

Honestly it makes me wonder how she treats my dog, she's absoloutely lovely and friendly don't get me wrong, my 6 year old cousin dresses her up and puts her in a pram she is docile but at the vets she covers and has nipped at them before.

Could it be down to how the surgeon delt with her when she was neutured?

it could be that or it could be she simply doesn't like vets; some dogs just don't like going to the vet full stop

Because it shows she has no compassion towards animals

Yeah, I changed Vets a few years ago for that reason, not because the Vet was Fox hunting, he just didn't have a good bed side manner, I feel like maybe he spent alot of his time with "working" or farm animals so viewed them as commodities rather than peoples pets or companions. The vets I changed to are so lovely, when I had to have my dog put down a few years ago I was a mess, they sent me a card afterwards and all.

Lmao it’s not like they’re the only vet in existence. The dog’s not losing out at all.

So what's the point of the thread? Why doesn't she just take the dog to another vet instead of trying to make out that there's an evil monster working at her local?

Because my mum made a good argument in that Cherry has always been well looked after up until now but for me part of the care I want is my mind being at ease if I had to leave her...knowing what I know now I do not.

Well if you've always had a good service, then why change? She is obviously professional in her job and her hobbies shouldn't even come into it when the health of your dog is the priority.

I could get the same level of care at a vets where they like animals enough to not enjoy watching them slaughtered. That's why.
