To be fair though I watched Emmerdale through Kate Oates' run and most of her big storylines started off in the same sort of way, so hopefully all these loose stories will come to mean something once she has fully taken over the show.
It's probably that and the fact the show puts everything into December before reverting to crap in the January every single year.
