I know it's really tasteless to even ask but - in the event he has perished in this - what happens regarding the transfer? The money presumably has been paid and contract signed, but forking out millions (or, on Nantes' part, accepting it) for someone who literally died 3 days later is unheard of.
As I said I know it's stupid to even think of such a thing, but from a footballing stance this is a cruel blow to Cardiff / their transfer window from a pragmatic POV. Anyway, typing all of that made me feel gross and tactless, so I'll reiterate my sadness at what is most likely his passing. How many others were aboard?
