also the way the Dad was speaking in the interviews, often not holding eyecontact when he said they didnt realise what was going on... I dont know why Jan isnt more angry with her parents for not protecting her

I was thinking about his wife too and he had his own kids. I would be interested to know her history, I did wonder if maybe she could have been another victim of his and had just stayed with him? (pure speculation of course but she must have been very brainwashed to put up with all that and possibly put her own children at risk too)
