Or protect them ? Kids should keep their innocence as long as possible, IMO children should not learn any type of sex education until they are in their teens and even then with parents permission

It’s not sex education it’s about LGBT RELATIONSHIPS not how they have sex

Why would you not want your children to learn about a normal
Healthy relationship?

Education is to educate, not to protect the beliefs of parents.

Exactly, it takes a bad parent to value pouring their own ignorance into the next generation over educating them to be better than those that came before.

I'm so worried about my children...that I voted for us to leave the certainty of the EU for a worse situation for them as they grow.

Dictatorship parenting is a choice and making sex some sort of horrific dirty secret is a bad one. Why would you hide from your children how humans are made?

So you keep pointlessly saying. They are human beings capable of their own choices and you know what? They're going to go out and find out about sex for themselves whether or not you've decided they're ready for it or not.

Home school them then. Although, you can barely string a coherent sentence together so maybe not the best idea.

Protect them from what? You do realise that gay people aren't radioactive?

Your views are SO out of fashion it's almost amusing.

There’s a difference between sex education and relationship education silly.

Surely it's important for them to learn about sex before they become teenagers, as they need to be educated about protection, and the risks. Also, I remember being a kid, and I'm pretty sure I understood what sex was when I was in year 2. Kids are much smarter than you think, children can be know about sex and still have a happy, innocent childhood.

It's hilarious coming from someone with a baby smoking in a gif as their avatar and someone who is forever shouting about the "snowflake generation" and yet wants to wrap their kids in cotton wool with no interest in an alternative when it comes to something as normal and natural as sex. Hypocrisy much?

I agree with that, it's up to schools to decide their curriculum and if a parent doesn't like the content, they DO have a choice, as they can choose private education or home schooling.

then they should learn to compartmentalize.
Nobody said the world around them has to revolve about their beliefs.
Participate in public life according to secular law and in their community according to their religious laws. Simples.

Posted this on another thread but its relevant in this one too

5 schools now in Birmingham have stopped the Outsiders curriculum, so in the UK where we welcome all, and you are free to be who you are it looks like we are going backwards
