But this case is even worse bc he said it to imply she was too ugly to rape

Yes, I've seen that and I understood the context in which it was said.

You have a case that he shouldn't be saying that sh!t and it's stupid to do so when you're in the middle of campaigning for election, but my concern is the Police being involved, when all he's done is exercise his free speech and nothing more.

I think saying that you ‘might’ sexually assault someone is worthy of at least a warning form the police. And there’s absolutely no way he meets the standard of public office with disgusting comments like that, even if they were intended as a ‘joke’

I don't take Eastenders seriously, so when there's a rape on Eastenders, I don't go running to the Police. Or if Ricky Gervais makes a joke about rape, I understand that he's just joking. I understand what Sargon is saying too, I know he was just joking, Jess Phillips knows he was just joking and the mainstream media know he was just joking. This is about votes at the ballot box and nothing more, and people will do whatever it takes to get them.

I think in this case the police being involved was the correct thing to do, he didn't say this in the comfort of his own how to his friends, he put it out there in public, it really isn't okay for people who are putting themselves forward for public office to make remarks of this nature

Stupid in the circumstances of him running for election, I'll give you that, but he's committed no crime, he has no intentions of committing a crime.
