I didn't watch "Mr Bean's Holiday" in the end, I watched "The Wrestler" instead. I have seen it before, great film, I'll give it nine and a half out of ten.

Boogie Nights (1997) - 9/10
Brilliant movie, never gets old. The era-accuracy of the 70's and early 80's is spot on. Amazing soundtrack, too. Last edited by LaLaLand; 04-08-2019 at 10:27 PM. |

...When They See Us...a movie series of four parts...it was one of the most powerful things that I’ve watched for a long time, even though I knew the Central Park Five story...it’s a superb dramatisation, the casting is just excellence...just heartbreaking to watch the helplessness and despair of those children and their families...it made you feel so much of what they would have felt...a few times I had to pause it because it was too much, just to be able to breathe for a moment....just excellent..10/10...and a haunting and superb soundtrack as well...
...I watched the Oprah interview with the five afterwards...all incredibly inspiring guys...... Last edited by Ammi; 10-08-2019 at 07:30 AM. |

I watched Apollo 13 from 1995 again, because it was discussed on a podcast I listen to.
Really good film about the ill-fated mission to the moon. A lot of the dialogue is based on the real transcripts from the mission, and I like how they don't shy away from talking about the technical stuff, because they understood that a lot of the drama came out of that. They filmed a lot of the weightless shots on the plane used to simulate zero-gravity. I think it is better than First Man - the recent film about Neil Armstrong and Apollo 11. |

Imagine instead of digitally aging Chris Evans, they had Liam Neeson as Old Man Cap .

I loved End Game and recently rewatched now that it's out on Digital. I would say though that it's not one that you can just "drop into" like the other Marvel movies this year (Captain Marvel and Spider-man)... if you haven't followed basically ALL of the MCU main-title movies you would just have absolutely no idea what's going on for most of the film. It would just be a string of utter chaos . It's the perfect final chapter to the OG Avengers saga but it's definitely not a standalone movie.

Well yeah I don't know why anyone would even try to watch it if they hadn't... especially Infinity War as it's really a 2-part story. And surely you'd know after Infinity War whether or not you wanted to see End Game . Silly Cherie.

Would You Rather - A poor man's Saw, however it was a highly entertaining Film and Jeffrey Combs and Robin Lord Taylor deliver strong performances in the Film imo. Also the Film is more psychological than Films like Hostel and later installments of Saw so it's not just a pure Gore Porn Movie. I'd score the Film 8/10.

Just saw both Lion King and Aladdin. Lion King really enjoyed and felt they stuck more to the animated film than Aladdin who veered more to the theatre show. However enjoyed both and would give Lion King a 8 and Aladdin a 7
