I do believe there was a 30 minute tribute programme on the night of the UBB final though. I seem to remember Channel 4’s ‘Farewell Big Brother’ night went on from, like, 8pm-midnight and had all sorts mixed in like the the results, the Jade tribute, all sorts.

They did a tribute to her, but I don’t think it’s was a desperate show, it was mixed in with the final, cause they cut back from the video and everyone was sobbing in the audience

Such a compelling, eye-opening documentary which touched on real issues very honestly and unapologetically. I was only 7 when BB3 aired and I didn't even know about Big Brother until BB5, so essentially I grew up knowing and accepting Jade as a celebrity; perhaps even took it for granted without paying attention to how truly remarkable her life trajectory really was.
It was refreshing to get some exclusive new info such as anecdotes from PJ and Alex regarding their time in the BB house with Jade. Also nice to see Davina and Ruth have a part in the documentary. Overall it was very dramatic but truly gripping. Can't believe we have to wait a week for the next installment which I assume will touch on her other Reality TV shows and culminating in her CBB stint. |

Great to see old BB3 clips it made you think how stripped back it was
Alex and the rock broke me and the dancing Nice to see Jeff again talking about Jade. Next 2 are going to be hard to watch though Also 2002 doesn't seem that long but judging from that it was!. Also the audition videos! I miss that simplicity

Yeah all the programs were mixed in, I just remember on the TV guide they were all listed as individual programs (like children in need is, where each segment has its own part of the show but it still cuts back to the studio between each)

I'm scared to watch this but I know I will. The last documentary they had in 2010 I literally had to pause it because I kept crying

I thought this was on over consecutive nights rather than weekly.
Looking forward to the next part which I'm assuming will be about her CBB stint. The first ep was so good. |

I didn’t watch the documentary, my opinion of jade has not changed, she was a racist bully as her second time on celebrity bb clearly showed.
I have said on here in the past how channel four realised she had become a hate figure and edited bb to show her in the best possible way, Grahame Norton was channel fours highest paid star at the time and went from calling her the pig to being her biggest fan!, I wonder why!. We had her cancer fight rammed down our throats, she was not the only woman to die from cancer who had kids, but you would think her cancer was the only one, women are still dying of cancer The only money jade ever gave to charity was 700 of someone else’s money. Now it’s clear from the posts in this thread, my opinion will be met with disgust but I live in the real world not the edited version. |

...I would imagine she was ‘slaughtered’ on this site as well as any other site for her actions toward Shilpa Shetty...she was part of a pack that was probably the most unpleasant thing ever seen on BB...it has nothing to do with who we might ‘deem to be racist’ ...her actions were undoubtedly racist ...that was a few weeks of her life though...if any of us had our life judged on a few weeks and on something we felt represented ‘the worst of us’...because we all do have ‘worst’ which is a part of us as well...this programme, these episodes...represent so much more than that one time...they create a balance of a complex person...and the ‘best of her’...when it became the most sad part of her young life...?...has helped so many young girls in awareness of cervical cancer...people who had never in their lives had a smear test were coming forward and saying...’..because Jade...’...

Watched it and I thought it was perfect
A harsh yet touching look at the reality Jade went through up until after Big Brother. I’m kind of dreading the next episodes to be honest. |

The majority of viewers and this forum were and still are against Jade because of her treatment towards Shilpa. You say that like she came out of it all unscathed and her behaviour was overlooked when she bore the brunt of the scandal, despite being the least racist of everyone involved. |

She can be slaughtered for one incident, whilst still celebrated for other things. Its not either or and one thing in her life does not define her tbh, like all of us.

Too glam to give a damn

This was a really good watch. It was surreal seeing the audition tapes and how creative, outlandish and desperate people were to be on the show. It's really quite sad what once was a phenomenon turned into such meaningless rubbish by the end of its stint.
Jade's story is crazy but so fascinating. I can't imagine what it was like for her growing up. Most people would be deeply effected and wounded by the trauma, but she seemed to be the kind of person that took things in her stride no matter what- even if she was quite petulant and vulnerable. The interesting thing is that the vulnerability really did fade away once she left the house. It's crazy how much of a mogul she became in her own right. A concotion of chav culture and good timing re Big Brother (at its prime) really helped a lot of the BB3 housemates actually. Really intrigued by next week's episode. This is the one I've been waiting to see. Will be strange to relive the race row again and hear how people perceived it (especially Davina, who I loved seeing again!) in their own words. Was also cool to see a few of the BB3 housemates, especially Alex. What he said about he rock being thrown into garden really shocked me. Watching the clips from BB3 in high definition (or as close to HD) we could get, reaaaaalllly makes me wish that C4 would release all series on DVD or upload them onto ALL4. |

I doubt they did, but I seriously hope they managed to interview Shilpa for next week's part.

...it was really nostalgic to see so many elements in looking back..the live feed for instance, being some of ‘the best’ of BB...the next two episodes though are going to be extremely difficult... |
