For those who don't know, Edgic is a combination of the words 'editing' and 'logic', as it's a system of abbreviated letters used for subjectively describing how the editing of a reality tv show looks. When devising it, you start out with ratings of these abbreviations:
UTR - Under the radar - you have little content shown MOR - Middle of the road - you have content present but you're not very complex or over the top OTT - Over-the-top - you're an over-the-top, practically cartoonish presence who is very exaggerated CP - Complex personality - you drive the story, you're a very detailed person who we see a lot of the thought process about and/or learn a lot of things about, whether it be from your perspective, or the long-winded ways others describe you. The next letter of abbreviation is tones. These are not a necessity, but they are common. P - Positive - you're a positive presence M - Mixed - you're a mixed presence of positive and negative attributes N - Negative - you're a negative presence PP - Extremely Positive NN - Extremely Negative And then there's your visibility of how present you are on a scale of 1-5, with 1 being the lowest and 5 being the highest. Thus the results of every possible rating + tone are UTR UTRP UTRM UTRN MOR MORP MORM MORN OTT OTTP OTTM OTTN CP CPP CPM CPN With PP and NN being an uncommon, but still possible add-on to these, probably only the OTTP, OTTN, CPP and CPN initials. In actual tables, these are all color-coded. |
