You can argue that they were duped. You can argue that they were doing the bidding of the elite. Or you can argue that it's against their interests all you want. That the economy will crash. But you can't argue that the British public voted to leave. That was their choice. Being in a free country means that you have the freedom to make mistakes. Otherwise, you don't live in a free country. The only people that were truly lied to, if the referendum is ignored, were the British public.
If you do love freedom and if you love the EU this is what you should be advocating: honor the results of the EU referendum by withdrawing the UK completely from the EU. Then, once they are out, start advocating for a referendum to rejoin the EU.

Almost half of the people didn't vote to leave and the Leave side basically swore that they'd get a deal too. If we were to do the referendum again now, I think it would still be close but Remain would likely win.
I don't believe going back and forth on this issue will fix anything and playing the Hokey Cokey with the EU is a dumb idea. Our only real option is a compromise by leaving with a deal. Anyone that tries to make out that we should leave at the first opportunity should not be trusted to know the difference between their elbow and their arsehole. We should leave when we're ready and not a moment before. If delays are neccesary then so be it.
You're preaching to me when it's clear you don't really have the first clue of what you are talking about.
