Their popularity with the middle classes upwards was always based in the perception of them being "the financially responsible party", or to use their own recent mantra, "Strong and Stable". As things stand in 2019... the Tories with Brexit have created the most financially irresponsible, unpredictable and unstable situations in the history of the UK.

Whilst the working classes have started to see them as the "daddy no-nonsense" party who is going to get rid of Johnny Foreigner wots causing all the problems and delivering Brexit "for the people".

They're going to sweep this election but in the long run they are in serious, serious trouble... their new support is fickle and HEAVILY rooted in the Brexit debate, it'll slip through their fingers like sand when it's (eventually) done, however it ends, but they will never regain the "sensible vote" of the middle-income middle-class that they've thrown to the wolves.
