There’s a saying that Oxford’s better for the humanities and Cambridge for the sciences.

All in all Oxford might have the tiniest bit more prestige worldwide but Cambridge is at the top of the league tables more years than not.

Oxford is better for Medicine than Cambridge which is probably where I got the misconception from

So why are the entry requirements at A-Level higher for Cambridge than Oxford?

I think Oxford is harder to get into anyway with how they assess people in interviews and the entry test

People apply to Oxford for STEM courses because they know they’ll be rejected at Cambridge.
