i don't think anyone should be complacent that catches this virus, it's shown itself to be too deadly. This stiff upper lip attitude of carrying on regardless is the wrong example to set too

Plus IF he had gone straight to bed to rest he would have been accused of passing the buck for others to sort out, I for one hope he recovers quickly and gets back onto this.

I said "potentially" because yes it's speculation, a possible reason, not a definite reason. That's what "potentially" means .

However, no, it isn't "pure" speculation - not getting enough rest makes it harder to recover from illness, that is 100% medical fact. The part that's speculation is assuming he hasn't been resting properly, maybe he has been getting plenty of sleep and isn't stressed at all... I just think that seems unlikely. I'm not blaming him either, he's not in a position where he can just stop stressing and relax unfortunately.

Its still worth saying for other people though. Like BOTS said, some people have a "stiff upper lip, just push through it" approach to illness and it's worth pointing out that it can hinder recovery.

I literally don't care what you do sheriff, I just hope other people understand that sleep and rest is important if they get a fever. I mean I feel like most people already know that but you do you, just please don't advise other people that "rest doesn't help" ffs.

Sleeping through sickness is what I've always done, people shouldn't ignore their bodies and they scream at you to rest when you're very sick

Oh just had a read through, that was a pretty nasty argument all round tbf, I get why it was all just deleted because there were a lot of insults coming from all sides but also why that one comment stood out too. I will ask for there to be a review of it though
