20. Basement Jaxx - Rooty

The only Basement Jaxx album i really like. There isn’t really a single boring track on the album and it contains the iconic Romeo and Where’s Your Head At so there.

19. Kelis - Tasty

I didn’t want to include more than one album per artist so it was either this or Flesh Tone which is equally amazing. This has Trick Me, Millionaire and Milkshake though so let’s celebrate that.

17. Charly Bliss - Guppy

At just short of 30 minutes long this album is a joy from start to finish and i heard that the beatles called off their reunion tour with a holograph of John Lennon after this album dropped because they knew they couldn’t compete.

15. Siouxsie and the Banshees - The Scream

I think we can all agree that:

Siouxsie said in an interview way back that the song was a weird little story about a butcher's assistant who can't get girls, so he falls in love with a big slab of meat hanging in the backroom, and he wants to be more like the thing he loves, so he chops off his arms and legs.

12. Janelle Monae - Dirty Computer

Her best album to date. It’s quite a bit shorter than her first two albums which tend to drag on a bit and have silly little interlude bits that nobody asked for. They’re still gorgeous albums but i feel as though this is more consistent and has most of the best songs of her career on it

Before we continue: an important announcement regarding Fetch The Bolt Cutters

As it was only released a few weeks ago i won’t be including it in the countdown because i feel like putting an album that hasn’t even been out for a month in a favourite EVER list is weird like idk somn about that just don’t sit right with me. However it will undoubtably enter this list over time and when i do an update of this in 2027 when it’s just me, nicky91 and toy soldier left on the forum you will be able to see her snatch the crown then
