There needs to be a thought given to food standards across the globe tbh.. including the west.
Look at the 'chlorine washed chicken' debate, a process advocated by some of our ministers, why would a chicken need to be washed? Because the conditions it lived and died in meant it was ridden with disease.

There has been a rise in the use of 'intensive farming' methods for pigs too trapped in a tiny pen and all they can do is eat, left rotting where they fall. How long till this practice spawns a new coronavirus?
The BSE crisis, remember that? came about by feeding cows...to cows!
Yes the wet markets need highlighting, but they are not the only place where the risk exists. Putting pressure closer to home would be advisable too.
