For all the holding of hands in horror at the time, the herd immunity option is the best we have at the present time. We have no idea yet how many have already been infected in the UK, but I think it's a lot, and if that proves to be true then we will be "fine". However, if come October/November it shoots back up again, it's not going to be good ... for anyone

Sadly this particular virus is completely different to any other virus including all the those from the coronavirus family .
That’s what’s so scary about the damn thing

There's been 5 million cases worldwide now so if people were not immune you'd think we'd be hearing a lot more about reinfections

I hope this is correct .. if it is then it will be all over the news for days , I’d imagine

There is no difference as the kids still interact with one teacher per day for instance, it doesn't matter if it is the same one or different as they will all present the same risk as each other due to their lives outside school.
It’s a simple numbers game, 6 kids equals 6 times the number of people in their household times the people that household comes into contact with.

30 kids is 30 times the household times the people they come in contact with.

correct, my country is among highest death rate of europe, RIVM had admitted yesterday

Belgium also, not quite accurate since they throw every suspected death by covid but not 100% sure of in these statistics, so also normal pneumonia deaths (basically the complete opposite from us dutch)

tbh care home deaths are harder to register than hospital deaths which is just a fact

Norway: they want to look into maybe allowing few people in football stadiums, spread across entire stadium stands

more like 10 people maximum in stands

audiences at that limit are also still allowed at live tv shows (such as the voice) for example

Well that's not true. Best data is better than no data, and our own estimated number is way off, too.

It's not an opinion, it's a fact that there is evidence of immunity lasting at least 3 months in Covid recovery cases, just varying person to person. An established fact isn't up for "Well I don't fink so".

Well yes but if you want to go down that path, you're in your house forever. There is no such thing as a 100% effective vaccine, vaccines work on exactly the same principle as herd immunity; that MOST (not all) people who get the vaccine will be immune. They tend to range from 80% - 95% effective.

So... Getting the vaccine won't mean you can't catch it, either. If you're waiting for a vaccine on the basis that it provides 100% immunity, you're going to be indoors for a long time.

You’d have thought that with all that’s at stake every country should be publishing daily figures based on EXACTLY the same basis.

Then when a country is found to be ‘tampering’ with their data they get a massive fine or whatever

Where is your evidence for this claim.. day after day some science bod tells us that there’s no evidence to suggest that everyone is immune after recovering

Default Coronavirus Outbreak

Lets say it takes around 10 days for a patient to die after being tested positive, and another couple of days after that for the deaths to be reported. That means that the confirmed cases each day were around half what they are now when the current deaths were tested. Not unreasonable to predict that deaths in Brazil could be around 1700-2200 each day in around 10 days from now. Testing in Brazil ispoor, 3462 per million people according to Worldometer compared to USA (42,680), UK (43,661), Italy (52,450), France (21,218)

It's not a comparison table, it's statistical.
