This was definitely outright murder and not "manslaughter"... There's no way the cop couldn't get his knee off the guy's neck after saying he couldn't breathe & becoming unresponsive / passing out shortly after. In the positions they were in (and on top of that George Floyd even handcuffed), there's no sensible reason to not at least release pressure off his neck and move to his back or something. What is the sentence length looking like? Idk too many of the recent details from today.

With that said, destroying the city in retaliation is stupid and pretty bad that so many are agreeing with it no matter how angry but idc too much about that as long as the business owners get compensated and no one hurt.

I'm seeing claims that George Floyd and thee pig once work together as bouncers at a club. So he knew George. The only receipts I've seen is the club owner say so in interviews. Not sure how true it is though I've just seen it floating around.

If my life’s work or business had been burned down and left to a pile of dirt and years/thousands of hours all just gone because of mobs targeting it I’d be very mad. These protestors are not using his name in vain and actually turning people off the issue completely.

People in this thread accepting this kind of vandalism is scary. Let’s hope when you are older and have worked really hard to achieve your goals it’s not just all scrapped away from you because of some selfish strangers trying to prove a fake point.

i am totally against civil unrest, looting and all the rest of it, however, sometimes things just have to happen for the greater good. Without civil unrest, countries like Poland, Romania and East Germany would still be under communist rule. A stand has to be made at some point in history

I used to be against black people being killed by the police, but then I saw some looting and I kinda want them to kill more black people now.
