so today the new group who are 'confused' are the shielded, I guess its not enough to hold a live press conference every day that you could tune into.
Last week there was a question from a 38 year old Mum who has been shielding with her 10 year old son for the past 11 weeks, she wanted to know when she and her son could go back out as her son had not seen his Dad for nearly 3 months, so Boris said he would look at it So the advice is IF YOU ARE COMFORTABLE TO DO SO, you can go out with a member of your household for a walk in a non crowded area or if you live alone you can meet one other person and observe social distancing, this has caused great 'confusion' according the press

Especially true when it comes to the elderly I think; some will be happy to shield at home for a much longer term, others will be happier getting out and seeing people even if that means they're at greater risk. |

Everybody knows that each and every one of us is at risk of getting covid. Yes, if we social distance etc, we should be ok, but it's not a certainty. Shielded people were most likely vulnerable to all types of infections and virus's, covid is not the only thing to worry about and it never has been. People just need to be careful within their own specific circumstances and weigh it up against quality of life as they have always done. |

Tbf it's making me feel like I need to get more cardio exercise. My cardiovascular fitness levels are just bad
... the covids might be bad for me in that sense.Although in restrospect I suspect I had it . My wife had an absolutely horrendous cough for over a month back in March, literally constant and some really bad coughing fits, the worst cough I've ever seen someone have honestly. My youngest also had a mild cough that started with a small temp but then lingered forever - like 6 weeks of occasional coughing fits easily.I didn't get a cough at any point BUT there was a period of maybe 10 days where I felt out of breath constantly, best way I can describe it is that I felt like I'd just been out for a brisk walk on a frosty day, not majorly struggling for breath but an obvious "feeling" of needing to breathe more deeply, an getting out of breath easily. It went away without incident though and not so much as one little cough so I didn't think anything of it... but there were other things that with the various symptoms being listed now, make me wonder. |
