The bar owner has a history of racism, the bars he owns have received multiple complaints of discrimination, his concealed carry license had expired and its claimed that before he killed James he was shouting racial slurs towards him, but according to the police chief, someone can shoot someone if they’re ‘scared for their life’ and get away with it, even if they’re mistaken, they’re also refusing to clarify whether James was armed or not at the time
