They said it would be constantly monitored and restrictions would come back in if it went back up mainly to combat fears about coming out. The truth is that the economy is now on the verge of complete collapse and they are desperately trying to claw back public confidence in getting back two work... and spending so that work actually exists.
I suspect it isn't going to work, trading will remain at below 70% of pre-Covid levels regardless, and companies will start dropping like flies in a few months time.
