Both leaders should have acknowledged it and take a stand against it, expose and condemn it. There's plenty both could have done and they chose to ignore it. It's unforgivable and it's gross that people who have basically used the military as a political prop in order to grandstand about how caring and good they are, are now trying to act like the story has to be wrong, or that this is for the best to avoid World War 3 or whatever the excuses are.
People pretend to care about the military when they think it earns them brownie points but when it comes down to supporting Boris/Trump or supporting the troops, those people will choose the former every time.

This government sent soldiers to war zones without the proper protection, governments send soldiers to their deaths for political reasons and not for the safety of this country.
You could turn around and rightfully blame any leadership who sent soldiers to deaths needlessly.
Your anger is towards trump and boris and more so to those that support them.
For all our disagreements I will admit you do argue your point well but on this subject it’s more about calling out trump and boris’s supporters.
We don’t cower from Russia but it is run by a man that is ready to kill anyone that stands in his way.
