You have to consider how people live now with those religions and the rules of those religions, and realise that Islam is a century behind. We were talking about the UK here, and as far as I know, no Christians, Catholic or otherwise, have been stoned, hanged or dooshed into water on a ducking stool for ages now. Women have equality here, so do gay people. Saudi Arabia, not so much.

Dunno what Saudi Arabia has to do with fearing a muslim 'takeover' in the UK, tbh. There's plenty of christian countries in Africa that do have discriminatory and barbaric practices but we don't use that as a stick to beat Christianity with.

Women don't have equality here well not the the full extent, they are still vastly underplayed for doing the exact same job a man would do which is still a major problem yet to be sorted

agree Dezzy, if i can remember correctly most of refugees, asylum seekers are not even from Saudi Arabia

but Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan, Iran, Sudan, Somalia and also very understandable people left those countries, given how awful it is over there with wars, conflicts


yes ok among those there are criminals too, but most want better lives

Many countries that are ruled by dictators or barbaric regimes often use religion as a tool to justify their brutality. Saudi Arabia would likely be just as brutal as it is with or without religion because the problem is with the people in charge rather than the religion because every religion is similar when you get to the fundamentalism of it all but most people are not puritanical or fundamentalists.

The pay gap is caused by the two genders on average working different jobs and different hours, unless you have some examples of actual unequal pay?

Look at you, telling ME about women's freedoms.

Yeah, there's still a pay gap. But we don't have to have our clitoris cut off without aesthetic when we're still children, then sewn up so we can just bleed and pee. We're not married off at the age of 12 to some old man, we are not a possession of our husband, we have access to education, medicine, birth control... yeah, the pay gap is still there but it's quite a long way down the list. I've worked in the Middle East, I've been to India, I've been across North Africa... please don't tell me how bad women have it in this country.

Nicky, I understand fully that Saudi Arabia doesn't produce many asylum seekers, I was using it as an example. And frankly it's pretty tedious when my posts are deliberately misinterpreted for drama and I have to explain.
